About SALP
About Us
Our Story
SALP was founded by Simeon Atunbi with the intention of building a firm that gives clients in Atlantic Canada access to focused legal advice without the cost structure of a large firm. We have offices in Halifax, Nova Scotia and Saint John, New Brunswick. Our practice covers immigration, employment, business, corporate commercial, regulatory, environmental, and Indigenous law.
We practise in areas of law that affect people directly: whether a person can stay in Canada, whether an employer has exposed itself to a wrongful dismissal claim, whether a transaction is structured to protect the parties involved, or whether a development project complies with provincial environmental requirements. These are not abstract legal problems. They have real consequences for real people, and we treat them that way.
At SALP, you work directly with a lawyer who practises in your area of law. Files are not passed between departments or handled by whoever has capacity. We keep our practice areas defined so that the quality of advice stays consistent.
Our Vision
To be the firm that clients in Atlantic Canada call first — because the advice is honest, the work is done properly, and the lawyer on the file knows what they are doing.
Our Mission
To give individuals and businesses in Atlantic Canada access to legal advice that is specific to their situation, honest about the risks, and delivered by lawyers who practise in the area they are advising on.
